Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water 6x Platinum RIAA Certified Award - Perfect for Music Collectors & Home Decor

RIAA 6x Multi-Platinum Award for Simon & Garfunkel's classic album Bridge Over Troubled Water. It was released in January 26, 1970 and certified 6x Multi-Platinum by Jan. 31, 1997 which this award celebrates.

It topped the charts in more than ten countries and landed in the #1 spot on year charts as well. The album and its title track also garnered six Grammy Awards, sweeping all of Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. By 2001 the album was certified 8x Multi-Platinum and it has sold over 25 million copies worldwide.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Multi-Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured sometime around 1998 making this award approximately 21 years old. This award was given to an industry executive and his signed and notarized letter of provenance will provided with purchase. Provenance letter can be seen in images with executive's name obscured for privacy. Item buyer will receive a non-obscured copy of the letter.

It is all original with unopened backing paper, Ill-Eagle Enterprises manufacturer's sticker and all correct components. This award is in excellent condition, with only a very minor mar or two on the top of the frame (see image).
