RIAA Gold Video award for Rush video A Show Of Hands. Released on Feb. 21, 1989, the video release was certified Gold by the RIAA on June 9, 1989 for 25,000 copies or one million dollars worth sold. Remember Rush's Neil Peart (1952-2020) with this hard to find RIAA award.
Rush's 1985 A Show Of Hands video was released on video and as a live album simultaneously. The performances on this album were from two Birmingham (UK) shows that took place on April 23–24, 1988. It was certified Platinum by the RIAA on the same day as Gold.*

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Gold Video award that would have been manufactured in 1990, making it approx. 35 years old. It is presented to well-known mastering engineer Bob Ludwig, who mastered this project along with those from many other artists from AC/DC to Def Leppard and Dire Straits to Toto, the Grateful Dead to the Rolling Stones and many others.
The award is in VG to Excellent condition with only very minor mars on the frame. It has its' original Creative Glassics manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
As to where they came from, they could have been displayed in record label offices, recording studios, artist manager's offices, radio stations, private collector's homes and yes, of course, possibly the artist's or songwriter's home. Typically, we don't know all the places they may have been over the years other than what we've stated in the description.
