R.E.O. Speedwagon 'Keep On Lovin' You' RIAA 45 Award Presented to Keyboardist Neal Doughty - Rare Collectible Music Memorabilia for Fans and Display

RIAA Gold Single award for R.E.O. Speedwagon's "Keep On Lovin' You" presented to founding member and keyboardist Neal Doughty. The track was released on Nov. 4, 1980 and certified Gold by the RIAA on March 16, 1981 for 500,000 copies sold. 

From the album Hi Infidelity, the tune became the group's first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1980. It also went to #2 in Canada and charted well in numerous other music markets worldwide. Recipient of this award Doughty formed R.E.O. Speedwagon with drummer Alan Gratzer and eventually finalized the line up during their most successful period with vocalist Kevin Cronin, the late guitarist Gary Richrath and bass player Bruce Hall.  By April 1989, "Keep On Lovin You" had been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Detailed Item Description: This is a first presentation RIAA Gold award that would have been manufactured in 1981 making the award 39 years old. It is presented to founding REO member and keyboardist Neal Doughty. 

The award is in VG condition with all original components including original backing paper. An obvious area of manufacturer sticker on its back shows it to be a Creative Glassics made award. This award has some typical minor scratches on the frame.

These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear.
